Edward Oughton

Edward Oughton is an accomplished academic currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the College of Science at George Mason University since 2020. Oughton holds multiple prominent roles, including Honorary Research Associate and Senior Research Associate at the University of Oxford's Environmental Change Institute, as well as being an Honorary Fellow at the British Antarctic Survey focused on Space Weather and Atmosphere. Additionally, Oughton has experience as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Cambridge, an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Carnegie Mellon University, and a 5G Researcher in Residence at Digital Catapult. Oughton’s earlier work included positions at Cambridge Judge Business School as a Research Associate and Senior Risk Researcher in the Center for Risk Studies. Oughton's education includes both a Master of Philosophy and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Cambridge.
