Jandos Rothstein

Jandos Rothstein is an accomplished Art Director currently with The American Prospect since 2020 and serves as Principal at Jandos Rothstein Consulting, founded in 2017, which focuses on enhancing content strategy and editorial production for magazines affiliated with educational institutions. Rothstein has been an Associate Professor of Graphic Design at George Mason University since 2003, previously promoted from Assistant Professor in 2009, and is actively involved in various departmental committees. In addition to teaching, Rothstein is a seasoned author and freelance design writer, with contributions to notable publications such as the Washington Post and Print Magazine. Previously, Rothstein held creative leadership roles, including Creative Director at Washington City Paper from 2010 to 2017 and Design Director at Governing Magazine from 2004 to 2009, notably redesigning publications and managing brand initiatives. Educational qualifications include an MFA from Northwestern University and a BA in History from Antioch College.
