Miles Musalman

Miles Musalman is a member of Teams YazLee and StefKin at George Smith Partners. In his role, he sources, analyzes, underwrites and markets real estate deals to put together the ideal capital structure for clients.

Before joining George Smith Partners, Miles ran financial analysis and financing for projects at Watt Companies. Within his role as Director of Finance, he underwrote value-add, ground up and homebuilding construction projects, sourced debt and equity partners, and worked on deal terms to deliver anticipated returns. Past work experiences include the financing of all of Watt’s homebuilding construction projects since 2013 ($250MM +) and the financing of over $750MM in debt for Watt’s other divisions. In 2016, Miles underwrote and worked on securing the financing for the 220-unit, Class A+, ground-up apartment construction project in Las Vegas called South Beach. In 2017, Miles underwrote and worked on securing financing for another Watt project; a 135-unit, ground-up multifamily project in Phoenix, AZ called View 32.

As a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA), Miles has experience in tax preparation and accounting. With over 18 years of active accounting and finance experience in real estate, he has worked in family offices and corporate structures and brings forth ample experience in underwriting and sourcing financing for deals within all real estate asset classes. Miles also worked as Controller for a 3,000-unit owner/property management firm in San Diego and brings forth that education and experience in his value-add multifamily underwriting.

Miles is a Bachelor of Science in Finance graduate from the University of Louisville and received a Master’s in Business Administration degree from San Diego State University’s EMBA program. In his spare time, he enjoys surfing with his kids and playing beach volleyball.
