Benjamin Smith

Benjamin Smith is an experienced professional in the arts and cultural sector, currently serving as the Project Director of the GSP Summer Program at George Street Playhouse since January 2023. With a long-standing role as Treasurer and Chairman of the Springfield Cultural Council, Benjamin Smith manages grant approvals and oversees the grant process for state funding aimed at enhancing the arts and humanities in greater Springfield. As Executive Director and CEO of DREAM Studios Inc. since April 2003, Benjamin Smith has demonstrated strong leadership in the arts community. Academically, Benjamin Smith holds a Master of Arts & Sciences in Drama and Dramatics/Theatre Arts from Harvard Extension School and a Master’s degree in Theatre from Harvard University, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Business/Managerial Economics from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
