Jacob Giesbrecht

Jacob Giesbrecht has extensive work experience in tax and accounting roles. Jacob began their career at EY in 2006 as a Staff Accountant and worked their way up to Manager in the Business Tax Services division. In 2016, they joined Fidelity Investments as a Tax Manager before moving on to George Weston Limited in 2017. At George Weston Limited, they initially served as a Senior Manager in Tax and later became the Director of Tax.

Jacob Giesbrecht obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accounting from the Haskayne School of Business from 2001 to 2005. During the same period, they also pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics at the University of Calgary. In 2009, Jacob obtained the Chartered Accountant certification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta. In 2010, they completed the CICA In-Depth levels I, II, and III, although the institution where they obtained this certification is not specified.
