Malcolm L. H. Wells has a diverse work experience encompassing various roles in the legal field. From 1997 to 1998, they worked as an Associate at CUFFIE & ASSOCIATES, LLC, representing clients in civil proceedings and providing advice on probate law in wrongful death cases. From 1998 to 2000, they served as an Assistant Public Defender at the OFFICE OF THE FULTON COUNTY PUBLIC DEFENDER, representing indigent individuals in criminal litigation. In 2000, they joined the Georgia Department of Community Health as a Legal Services Officer/Staff Attorney, handling administrative hearings, preparing legal memoranda, and negotiating settlements. In 2003, Malcolm established their own law firm, MALCOLM L. H. WELLS & ASSOCIATES, LLC, where they represented clients in general civil litigation, health law, criminal law, and personal injury cases. In 2016, they returned to the Georgia Department of Community Health as the Director of Medicaid Legal Services, overseeing a team of attorneys and managing the unit's daily operations.
Malcolm L. H. Wells completed their Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Public Management at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University from 1988 to 1993. Following this, they obtained their Doctorate of Law (JD) from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law between 1993 and 1996.
