Gerald Schaefer

Gerald Schaefer is an accomplished auditing professional with extensive experience in procurement, internal audits, and financial management. Currently serving as the Director of Audits for the State Purchasing Division at the Georgia Department of Administrative Services since June 2015, Gerald oversees audits for state entities and suppliers. Previous roles include Director of Audits and Recovery at the Georgia Department of Education and Internal Audit Manager for the City of Atlanta. With a solid foundation in public administration and political science, Gerald holds a Master's degree from The University of Georgia and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
