Ryan Evans is an experienced professional in external affairs and international policy, currently serving as the Director of External Affairs for the Georgia Department of Community Affairs since December 2022. Prior to this role, Ryan held the position of Senior Trade Policy Advisor at the British Consulate-General Atlanta from February 2019 to November 2022. Ryan's extensive background in legislative affairs includes significant roles within the Office of Senator Johnny Isakson, where responsibilities ranged from advising on national security and trade issues to successfully driving the bipartisan Global Food Security Act of 2016. Ryan's career began with internships at the U.S. Department of State and as a legal assistant at Groover & Childs Trial Attorneys. Ryan earned a Master of Arts in International Development Studies from The George Washington University and a BA in International Studies from Georgia Southern University.
