Glen Whitley has a diverse work experience in various industries. Glen started their career in 1995 at Lockheed Martin, where they worked as an International Sales representative. Glen then joined GEC-Marconi as the Director of Marketing, responsible for setting the marketing strategy and achieving revenue growth.
In 1999, Whitley joined the British Consulate-General as an HM Consul for Trade & Investment, leading a team and providing guidance on bilateral trade and investment between the US and UK. Glen focused on technology companies looking to expand into the UK/Europe and helping UK companies find business partners in the US.
From 2008 to 2009, Whitley served as the Executive Director at AeA/TechAmerica, the leading voice for the US technology industry.
Since 2009, Whitley has been working at the Georgia Department of Economic Development. Glen initially held the role of Senior Project Manager, where they successfully managed projects in various sectors such as solar technology and healthcare IT. Later, they became the Director of the Center of Innovation for Information Technology, focusing on digital technology and products, including health IT, software, and digital games.
Glen Whitley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University. Additionally, they have pursued their education further and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Marketing from Georgia State University.
