Mary Waters

Deputy Commissioner, International Trade at Georgia Department of Economic Development

Mary Waters is the current Deputy Commissioner of International Trade at the Georgia Department of Economic Development. Mary has been in this role since July 2013. Prior to that, they were the Senior International Trade Manager at the Georgia Department of Economic Development from June 2008 to July 2013. In that role, they were responsible for providing strategic export assistance and international business development for companies within Georgia's healthcare and life science industries. Mary helped companies strategically identify and enter new markets to expand their international sales.

Mary Waters has a MA in Latin American Studies from University of Florida and a BA in International Studies and Spanish from Willamette University.
