Derek Sands

Derek Sands has over three decades of experience in financial analysis and database management, predominantly at the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) since October 1999, where responsibilities have included centralizing information into databases, developing agency financial reports, and managing web service functionality related to loan software. Prior roles include Senior Financial Analyst at Grady Health System, where financial data was reported to management and external agencies, and Cost Accountant/Data Analyst at Southside Health Care, focused on financial transaction analysis in a health center context. Earlier career experiences include auditing and procurement roles at the Georgia Department of Medical Assistance, alongside foundational accounting technical duties.
