Kristofor A. has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Kristofor started their career as a Community Planning Intern at the City of Maryland Heights, MO in 2006, where they conducted research on zoning ordinances and presented findings to the Planning and Zoning Commission.
In 2007, Kristofor joined Jacobs Engineering as an Urban Planner. In this role, they conducted site development and land use assessments for public and private sector clients, developed energy use reduction strategies for large campuses, and assisted with managing a security upgrade program across multiple regions. Kristofor left the company in 2010.
From 2010 to 2016, Kristofor worked at the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority. Kristofor began as an Energy Assurance Program Manager, responsible for providing outreach and education on energy policies, analyzing data on energy programs, and managing the state's energy assurance program. In 2016, they were promoted to Senior Program Manager, a role in which they continued to oversee energy programs and projects. In July 2021, they were further promoted to Director of Energy Resources, a position they currently hold.
Prior to their work at Jacobs Engineering, Kristofor was a Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia Tech - Center for GIS from 2005 to 2007. Here, they conducted research on the social and economic impacts of natural hazards on local communities and published a co-authored paper in a peer-reviewed journal.

Kristofor A. completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Geography at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2001 to 2005. Kristofor then went on to pursue a Masters degree in City and Regional Planning at the Georgia Institute of Technology, which they completed from 2005 to 2007. In 2012 and 2013, Kristofor obtained an Energy Management Diploma from North Carolina State University. Lastly, in 2015, they received a Project Management Certificate from The University of Georgia.
