Jennifer Welte

Jennifer Welte has over a decade of experience in environmental protection and law, currently serving as Assistant Branch Chief and Environmental Program Manager at the Georgia Environmental Protection Division since April 2011, focusing on regulatory development and regional water planning within the Watershed Protection Branch. Prior experience includes working as an Environmental Program Manager overseeing the Wetlands Unit and Water Supply Program, as well as serving as an Attorney specializing in environmental law at King and Spalding from October 2008 to April 2011. Earlier roles at the Georgia Environmental Protection Division from 2001 to 2008 involved significant responsibilities as an Environmental Engineer III, concentrating on TMDL modeling and watershed planning. Jennifer Welte holds a Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
