Cas D'Angelo

Cas D'Angelo has been an IT Professional at Georgia Institute of Technology since August 1993, currently holding the positions of Associate Vice-President - IT and Chief Operating Officer, and formerly serving as Director of Network Engineering and Chief Network Architect. D'Angelo's responsibilities include oversight of the unified operating model for IT, leading transformation initiatives, and managing computer network designs. Additionally, D'Angelo has been the President of Southern Crossroads (SoX) since August 1995, directing the gigapop in Atlanta, GA, which connects multiple research institutions to national networks. Prior experience includes a role as Network Engineer at Southern Light Rail from June 2004 to March 2009, managing network infrastructure to connect various educational institutions to national resources. D'Angelo earned a BEE in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, completing studies from 1986 to 1992.
