Chieh-Yun (Astrid) Chen is a dedicated researcher and applied scientist with extensive experience in image and video understanding, generative AI, and mentoring. Currently serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology under the guidance of Prof. Humphrey Shi, Chieh-Yun conducts research in image/video generation. Previous roles include Research Assistant positions at Epoch Foundation and National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, where Chieh-Yun engaged in significant projects exploring information bias in text encoders and reporting on MIT CSAIL research for allied companies. Chieh-Yun has also founded Stylins.ai, focused on next-generation online shopping, and worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Perfect Corp., contributing to improvements in image segmentation. Educational credentials include a Master's degree from National Chiao Tung University and participation in Y Combinator’s Startup School.
