Santiago Grijalva

Santiago Grijalva serves as the Chairman at ProsumerGrid, Inc., focusing on the deployment of decentralized control and management algorithms for electricity grids. Additionally, Grijalva holds the title of Southern Company Distinguished Professor and Associate Director at the Strategic Energy Institute at the Georgia Institute of Technology, conducting research in electricity systems, smart grids, and cyber-physical security while overseeing significant projects with federal agencies and industry sponsors. As the founding Director of the Power Systems Engineering Center at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Grijalva developed a vision for future sustainable electricity systems. Prior experience includes a Senior Consultant role at PowerWorld Corporation, where innovative software for large-scale power systems was created. Grijalva's educational background includes a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, along with earlier studies in information systems and electric power systems.
