Shane Snyder

Shane Snyder currently serves as the José Domingo Pérez Foundation Chair and Professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology, a position held since April 2024. In addition, Shane Snyder has been the Editor in Chief for the American Chemical Society's journal Environmental Science & Technology Water since April 2020, focusing on high-impact research in water quality and policy. With extensive experience spanning from January 1998 to the present as Vice-President at TES Inc., providing consulting services in engineering and water treatment, Shane Snyder has also held academic positions, including Professor of Civil & Environmental Engineering and Executive Director at Nanyang Technological University until April 2024. Prior roles include Professorship and Co-Directorship at The University of Arizona and Editorship at Elsevier's Chemosphere journal. Furthermore, Shane Snyder contributed as a Visiting Professor at the National University of Singapore and served as R&D Project Manager for the Southern Nevada Water Authority from March 2000 to July 2010. Shane Snyder earned a Ph.D. in Environmental Toxicology from Michigan State University and a BA in Chemistry from Thiel College.
