Shane Snyder currently serves as the José Domingo Pérez Foundation Chair and Professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology, a position held since April 2024. In addition, Shane Snyder has been the Editor in Chief for the American Chemical Society's journal Environmental Science & Technology Water since April 2020, focusing on high-impact research in water quality and policy. Shane Snyder earned a Ph.D. in Environmental Toxicology from Michigan State University and a BA in Chemistry from Thiel College.
