Mitzy Sharp Futro

Mitzy Sharp Futro, Esq., CFRE, serves as the Director of Development and Communications at Georgia Legal Services Program since December 2021. Previously, Mitzy held the position of Executive Director at the Atlanta Cancer Care Foundation Inc. from October 2015 to December 2021, driving fundraising and governance efforts to support cancer patients in Metro Atlanta. Mitzy's extensive experience includes founding Mitzy Sharp Futro, PLLC, providing legal and consulting services to nonprofits, and holding leadership roles in various organizations such as the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association and ACC Michigan. An educator as well, Mitzy taught Urban Planning Law at Wayne State University. Mitzy earned a Juris Doctor from USC Gould School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Political Science from the University of Southern California.
