Attorney Nyonnohweah Seekie is the founding owner of The Seekie Law Firm, LLC, a criminal defense and immigration firm located in downtown Macon. She is a first-generation Liberian-American and a graduate of Georgia Southern University, Widener University and Mercer University School of Law.
Attorney Seekie is devoted to counseling clients through the arduous territory of criminal prosecution and immigration, responsible for all case types including: Visa petitions, naturalizations, ICE detention bonds, misdemeanors, felonies, federal crimes, post-conviction representation and more. In the community, Nyonnohweah is an avid volunteer for Macon and Middle Georgia through her work with the State Bar of Georgia, Young Lawyers Division; Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys (GABWA); Junior League; and as the Area Vice President of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Nyonnohweah is married to her loving husband Cecil, and together they enjoy serving their community, worshipping at Lundy Chapel Baptist Church, and traveling with their dog.

For 49 years, Georgia Legal Services Program (GLSP), has offered free legal services to Georgians with low incomes who reside outside metro Atlanta in 154 of the state’s 159 counties. We believe everyone has a right to high quality legal services regardless of location. Our nonprofit law firm exists to ensure qualifying Georgians have access to quality legal services from trusted advocates and partners. Our 10 regional offices provide free legal services in the areas of family law, housing, access to public benefits, eviction prevention, farmworkers rights, and access to education.
