Steven Alford

Steven Alford is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the General Manager of Executive Communications for the Georgia Ports Authority since December 2022. Previously, Steven held the role of Communications Manager at Great Dane from June 2020 to December 2022, where responsibilities included delivering innovative communication solutions for a leading transportation company. Steven also gained extensive experience at CHRISTUS Health, first as Regional Public Relations specialist for South Texas and Southeast Texas, and later as Communications Manager for CHRISTUS Spohn Health System, focusing on media relations and public communications. Before transitioning to the corporate sector, Steven worked as a Multimedia Journalist for the Corpus Christi Caller-Times and the Lufkin Daily News, receiving recognition for journalistic excellence. Steven holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Writing & Rhetoric from St. Edward's University.
