Bert Wesley Huffman

Bert Wesley Huffman is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in nonprofit management and fundraising. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Georgia Public Broadcasting since January 2014, Bert oversees marketing and development efforts for one of the nation's largest public broadcasting corporations. Prior experience includes leading the fundraising operations at The Atlanta Opera as Director of Development from August 2011 to January 2014, and managing the Foundation at ASHRAE as Director of Development from January 2010 to August 2011. Bert also held the position of Director of Development at Emory University for the Yerkes National Primate Center from June 2008 to January 2010. Bert's academic qualifications include a Master of Public Administration in Public Administration/Nonprofit Administration from Kennesaw State University, a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theatre from Tennessee Wesleyan College, and an Associate of Fine Arts in Theatre and Music from Young Harris College, supplemented by participation in the Opera America Leadership Intensive.
