Davis Hewitt

Davis Hewitt is a highly experienced legal professional with a career spanning several decades. Currently serving as the Statewide Supervisor of the Appellate Division at the Georgia Public Defender Council since February 2022, Davis Hewitt has also operated the Davis Hewitt Law Firm as the Owner since December 2018, focusing on litigation and civil mediation in Georgia. Previous experience includes serving as Of Counsel at Goodman McGuffey from February 2001 to September 2024, where expertise in civil litigation across various areas, including governmental and employment litigation, was demonstrated. Earlier in the career, Davis Hewitt served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Georgia from 1979 to 1984, managing numerous appeals to the Georgia Supreme Court and Georgia Court of Appeals. Educational qualifications include a JD from the University of Georgia School of Law and a BA in Psychology from Vanderbilt University.
