Lauren LeDesma currently serves as a Local Archivist at Georgia Public Library Service since August 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Records Manager and Assistant Archivist at the Archdiocese of Atlanta from November 2021 to August 2023, and as Processing Archivist/Records Analyst at the Archdiocese of New Orleans from July 2018 to November 2021. Lauren worked as a Library Specialist Supervisor in the Reference & Research Department and as an Archives Processing Assistant at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from September 2016 to July 2018. Additional experience includes serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the same university from August 2014 to May 2016, and interning at The South Carolina Historical Society in 2015. Lauren holds a Graduate Certificate in Certified Records Management from Louisiana State University and a Graduate Certificate in Historic Preservation from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, alongside a Bachelor of Arts in History from Converse University and study abroad experience in Scottish Studies at the University of Glasgow.
