Shawn Wash has accumulated a diverse range of work experience in the field of soccer coaching and program management. Starting in 1997, Shawn worked as a Strength Trainer for the YMCA of Greater Richmond, followed by a role as a Strength Trainer and Soccer Coordinator at the Downtown Chattanooga YMCA from 1998 to 2000. In 2000, Shawn joined the YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta as the Director of the Soccer Program, where they successfully increased participation and improved member retention through the hiring of licensed coaches.

In 2002, Shawn became an Assistant Coach for the Girls Varsity team at Woodward Academy, and then moved on to work as a Certified Referee and Staff Coach for the Atlanta Silverbacks from 2006 to 2009. During this time, Shawn also took on the position of Staff Coach for the Tophat Soccer Club and the Olympic Development Program at Georgia Soccer, starting in 2009.

From 2008 to 2014, Shawn's most notable role was as an Assistant Women's College Soccer Coach at Georgia Perimeter College. In this role, they achieved impressive results, leading the team from a bottom-ranked position to a top ten ranking in national polls, and securing a place in the College Final Four. Additionally, Shawn successfully recruited student athletes nationally and internationally, facilitated the transition of athletes to four-year college programs, and managed various responsibilities including vendor selection, budget management, and compliance with NCAA and NJCAA regulations.

Since 2016, Shawn has been serving as the Assistant Coach for Girls Varsity Soccer at Holy Innocents' Episcopal School.

Shawn Wash started their education in 1989 at Chowan University, where they pursued an Associate's Degree in Psychology. Shawn attended Chowan University for two years, completing their studies in 1991. After that, there is no information provided about their education until the University of Richmond, where they acquired a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology.
