Sarah Powell

Sarah Powell currently serves as the Director of Government Relations at Georgia Southern University, a position held since June 2025. Prior to this role, Sarah accumulated extensive experience at the University of West Georgia, where responsibilities included Chief of Staff and Assistant Vice President, as well as Director of Government and External Relations, Deputy Chief of Staff, and various roles in communications and marketing. Additional experience includes serving as Marketing Manager for Kristi Navarre, Realtor, and an Event Coordinator at Wrennwood Design. Sarah Powell holds a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations/Marketing, both from the University of West Georgia.
