Shay Little

VP, Student Affairs at Georgia Southern University

Shay Little, Ph.D. holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Baylor University, a Master of Science in counseling and student personnel services from Oklahoma State University, and a doctorate in counseling and student personnel services from the University of Georgia. She attended the Institute for Educational Management at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education, has taught a myriad of counseling and higher education classes, and has more than 20 publications or professional presentations to her credit. Dr. Little was most recently a special assistant to the president and vice president of student affairs at Kent State University in Ohio. Before that, she spent 15 years at the University of Georgia and three years at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Dr. Little serves as Georgia Southern’s senior student affairs officer and primary advocate for approximately 26,000 students on three unique campuses. She leads a talented team that oversees a wide range of departments focused on student support and development.
