Cynthia Villaverde

Cynthia Villaverde is currently the VP of Financial Planning & Operations at Georgia State University. Cynthia has over 10 years of experience in finance and accounting, including positions as a financial analyst, controller, and acting CFO.

Cynthia started their career as a financial analyst at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. Cynthia was quickly promoted to assistant controller and then to controller at The Surf Club. After several years in controller positions, they became acting CFO at Sysco in 2018 and held that position for six months before returning to their role as finance manager. In 2019, Cynthia took a position as Associate Vice President for Budget & Financial Analysis at The George Washington University.
