Renata Irving is the Creative Director at Georgia State University. Renata has over fifteen years of experience in the field of graphic design and has worked for both small businesses and large corporations.

Irving began their career as a Web Designer for Skinmarket, an e-commerce skin, body, and hair care corporation. Renata was responsible for designing and coding the online presence for a chain of 35 retail stores.

In February 2003, Irving was hired as an Associate Creative Director at Whole Foods Market. In this role, they were responsible for hiring, training, and managing store-level graphic designers for 18 stores in the South Region. Renata also assisted the Creative Director in managing the design and production teams for the regional office. During their time at Whole Foods Market, Irving managed the design staff and signage completion during store openings.

In their current role as Creative Director at Georgia State University, Irving is responsible for leading the university’s creative team and executing the university’s visual identity across all channels.

Renata Irving has a Bachelor in Fine Arts from Guignard University of Art of Minas Gerais, an Associate of Arts from Santa Barbara City College, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Georgia State University. Renata also has a certification from Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business.

They are on a team with Jessie Hodges Weintraub - Director, University Events, Nancy Byron - Director of Marketing & Communications, and Terry Coniglio - Director, Content Strategy. Renata Irving reports to Andrea Jones, Interim VP, PR & Marketing Communications.
