John Pirtle

John Pirtle has a diverse work experience in the field of network and cyber engineering. John is currently working as the Manager of Security & Network Operations Center at Georgia System Operations Corporation, a not-for-profit system operations company. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Network & Cyber Engineering at MinervaWorks, where they provided technology assessment and platform management services. John also worked as a Network Engineer at Georgia Aquarium during their tenure at MinervaWorks.

Before joining MinervaWorks, John worked as a Horn III at Dekalb Symphony Orchestra for ten years. John also served as a Senior Network Manager at Comprehensive Technical Group, Inc., where they were responsible for the design and delivery of network infrastructure.

In previous roles, John held managerial positions in network administration at E*TRADE Financial Corporation and TMX Finance, where they oversaw network operations and developed engineering and operations teams. John also managed IT network engineering and operations services for Ceridian as a Network Manager at Fidelity National Information Services.

John's early career includes a position as a Network Administrator at MAG Mutual Insurance Company. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated their expertise in network management, security, telecom, and operations.

John Pirtle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Business Administration from Vanderbilt University. John has also obtained several certifications, including Sophos Certified Engineer from Sophos in April 2017, Extreme Network Sales Professional from Extreme Networks in March 2017, Brocade Professional IP Administrator in 2016 from Brocade, and LogicMonitor Certification Program in November 2016 from LogicMonitor.
