Cade Smith

Cade Smith is an experienced electrical engineer with a solid background in transmission and distribution systems. In the current role as Transmission Services Manager at Georgia Transmission since February 2025, Cade oversees transmission services. Previously, from May 2022 to February 2025, roles as System Operations Engineer II and Transmission Operations Engineer at Georgia System Operations Corporation involved supporting real-time operations of the transmission system and collaborating with various teams to ensure safety and reliability. Earlier positions include Distribution Design Technician at CAPPSTONE ENERGY GROUP, LLC and TRC Companies, Inc., where Cade developed electrical distribution designs and conducted field surveys. Cade holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Kennesaw State University.
