Mikayel Mkrtichyan

Mikayel Mkrtichyan is a seasoned professional in cancer immunotherapy, currently serving as Senior Vice President at Georgiamune Inc. since July 2021 and as an Assistant Professor at the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center since November 2019. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Scientist at A2 Biotherapeutics, Inc. from May 2018 to October 2019, and as Scientist III at Five Prime Therapeutics, Inc. from August 2015 to May 2018. Additionally, Mikayel was a faculty member at Georgia Regents University from March 2012 to August 2015. The focus of Mikayel's work involves developing novel cancer immunotherapies that simultaneously target both effector and suppressor arms of the immune system, utilizing a variety of target molecules, including co-inhibitory and co-stimulatory molecules, molecular adjuvants, inhibitory cytokines, and other immune checkpoint inhibitors.
