Paul Farley

Paul Farley is the current Director at Georgian Bay General Hospital. Prior to this, they worked as Senior Counsel Professional Conduct at Chartered Professional Accountants Ontario from October 1984 to April 2016. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing investigations of complaints against members of the profession and for prosecuting charges where warranted. Paul has extensive experience in professional regulation and has spoken often to lawyers and regulators on issues pertaining to administrative law and professional discipline. Paul has appeared before administrative tribunals, the Divisional Court and the Ontario Court of Appeal on professional discipline matters. Most recently, they were appointed as a member of the Financial Services Tribunal, an independent adjudicative body with exclusive jurisdiction to exercise the powers conferred under the Financial Services Commission of Ontario Act, 1997. Paul is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association and an advisory member to the Board of Directors of Stevenson Memorial Hospital in Alliston serving on the Governance Committee.

Paul Farley has a Bachelor of Laws from Western University.
