Lasha Mikava has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various industries and roles. Lasha is currently the Group CEO of Georgian Industrial Group Holding since June 2022. Prior to this, they served as an Advisor to the company from June 2020 to May 2022. Lasha also held the position of CEO from June 2019 to May 2020.
Before joining Georgian Industrial Group Holding, Mikava worked at Frederik Paulsen Family Office as an Advisor and Board Member from July 2020 to June 2022. In 2018, Mikava served as the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia from July 2018 to June 2019.
Lasha also worked at Tessa Capital as a Partner from March 2014 to June 2018. In this role, they led operational aspects of the assets under the Mid Cap Private Equity Fund management and provided advisory services to numerous companies in industries such as IT/Technology, Construction Materials, Food production & distribution, and Healthcare.
Mikava's experience also includes their role as Chairman & CEO of Ukrtelecom from January 2013 to March 2014. Here, they advised the owner, System Capital Management, on the acquisition of Ukrtelecom, led restructuring initiatives, and implemented operational initiatives leading to increased profitability.
Prior to that, they served as the CEO of Farlep-Invest (Vega Telecommunications Group) from February 2011 to March 2014, and as the CEO of BSC Cable from November 2007 to February 2011.
Mikava's earlier career includes positions as Deputy Head of Telecom Practice at SCM from October 2005 to November 2007, Marketing Director at Tiflis Wine Cellar from March 2004 to October 2005, and Summer Associate at McKinsey & Company in 2003.
