Dr. Rer. Nat. Marija Cancarevic

Dr. rer. nat. Marija Cancarevic has extensive experience in materials science, currently serving as an Application Development Specialist at Georgsmarienhütte GmbH since September 2007, where responsibilities include project leadership and management. Prior to this role, Marija held positions as a Ph. D. Student and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Metals Research from February 2003 to September 2007, and as a researcher at the Institute of Nuclear Sciences - VINCA from July 1997 to September 2007. Marija obtained a Ph.D. in Material Science with a focus on thermodynamics and heterogeneous equilibria from the University of Stuttgart in 2007, and earned both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy from the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy at the University of Belgrade between 1989 and 2002.
