Jens Thordarson

Jens Thordarson is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in operations and data analysis. Currently serving as CEO of Geo Salmo since November 2021, Jens also holds the position of Honorary Consul of Ireland at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Ireland since August 2019. Jens's previous roles at Icelandair included Chief Operating Officer, VP of Technical Operations, Director of Materials & Logistics, Director of Finance and Resources, and Data Analyst, accumulating nearly two decades of experience from 2004 to 2021. Early in the career, Jens worked as a Data Analyst and Developer at deCODE genetics from June 1998 to August 2002. Jens holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Háskóli Íslands, completed between 2002 and 2011.
