Alix Post

Project Lead, Digital Earth Antarctica at Geoscience Australia

Alix Post is a Senior Research Scientist with experience in geoscience research and marine management. They have extensive experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and providing scientific advice to government and international treaty bodies. Alix has also contributed to interdisciplinary marine research in Antarctica and has built international collaborations. In addition, they have worked as a Senior Science Advisor, contributing to the development of research and monitoring plans for Australia's marine park network. Alix has also worked as a Visiting Research Scientist at the British Geological Survey.

Alix Post completed their education at two different institutions. They first attended The Australian National University from 1994 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Geography and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Geology. They later pursued further studies at the University of Tasmania from 1999 to 2004 and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Palaeoceanography.
