Jim Hansen

Jim Hansen is a seasoned hydrogeologist currently working at Geoscience Australia since September 2022. With extensive experience, Jim has held the position of Senior Hydrogeologist at the Department of Environment and Science from September 2008 to September 2022 and served as a Hydrogeologist for the Queensland Government from November 2002 to August 2008. Early career roles include positions as a Geologist at Southern Cross Resources Australia and Oil Company of Australia, along with various academic roles at Queensland University of Technology. Jim holds a Master of Applied Science in Geochemistry and Petrology and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geological and Earth Sciences, both from Queensland University of Technology.
