Manager, Workforce Data And Planning at Geoscience Australia

Rhys Betland started working as a Business Development Manager at BMT Tax Depreciation Quantity Surveyors in August 2012 and held that position until January 2020. After that, they joined the Australian Public Service as a Support Officer from January 2020 to December 2021. In July 2021, Rhys Betland started working at Geoscience Australia as a Strategic Workforce Analyst, responsible for HR data analysis and advisory tasks. Later, in November 2021, they became a Human Resources Advisor at Geoscience Australia, taking ownership of all HR data and metrics processes and providing data-driven advice on various HR areas. Presently, Rhys Betland is working as a Manager, Workforce Data and Planning at Geoscience Australia, starting from May 2022.

Rhys Betland completed their Bachelor's degree in Business with a focus on Management and Human Resource Management at Griffith University from 2018 to 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Diploma in Information Technology from TAFE NSW from 2006 to 2007. Their high school education was obtained at Moss Vale High School from 2000 to 2005, earning their High School Diploma.

In addition to their formal education, Rhys Betland has also obtained several certifications. Rhys received the Data Analyst Professional Certificate from Coursera in March 2022. In January 2022, they obtained the Statistics Foundations: 2 certification from LinkedIn. In November 2021, they obtained the Data Fluency: Exploring and Describing Data certification, also from LinkedIn. In September 2021, they earned the Business Analytics Foundations: Descriptive, Exploratory, and Explanatory Analytics certification, also from LinkedIn. Furthermore, in March 2021, Rhys Betland was awarded the Griffith Award for Academic Excellence by Griffith University.
