Sam Buchanan

Sam Buchanan is a Senior Hydrogeologist at Geoscience Australia, a position held since May 2016. Prior to this role, Sam served as the Environmental Group Leader and Senior Environmental Scientist at Golder Associates from January 2010 to December 2016. During an earlier tenure as an Endeavour Research Fellow at The Asian International Rivers Centre from January 2008 to January 2009, Sam contributed to the field of hydrology. Academic credentials include a PhD in Hydrology, Precision Agriculture, and Soil Science from The University of New South Wales, awarded between 2001 and 2007, alongside earlier research as a PhD candidate at The University of Sydney from 2001 to 2004. Additionally, Sam is an Accredited Certified Practitioner of Soil Science (CPSS) Level 2.
