Faraz Abid is an experienced geoscientist with a strong background in seismic interpretation and reservoir characterization. At CGG from August 2019 to October 2021, Faraz focused on advanced quantitative seismic interpretation. Prior experience includes work as a geophysicist at Weatherford (December 2015 - February 2018), where technical studies were performed for various clients and involvement in the evaluation of unconventional reservoirs in the Indus Basin. Faraz also contributed to field development and reservoir modeling at Pakistan Petroleum Limited, and served as an intern geophysicist at both Pakistan Petroleum Limited and Premier Oil. Additional roles include a geophysicist position at OMV, where responsibilities encompassed prospect generation and integrated stratigraphic studies, and a senior geoscience advisor role at GeoSoftware, focusing on seismic reservoir characterization projects. Faraz holds a Master’s degree in Geophysics from Quaid-e-Azam University and a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from the University of Karachi.
