Sergei Churaev

Chief Technology Officer at Geospace Technologies

Sergei Churaev has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Sergei'smost recent position is as the Chief Technology Officer at Geospace Technologies, which they started in 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Chief Design Engineer at Marine Geo Service, where they were responsible for the development of control devices for marine seismic streamer cables. Sergei also managed a team of mechanical designers during their time there. In 2018, Sergei worked as a Consulting Specialist at УТТЗ, where they analyzed manufacturing processes and provided technical support for trolleybuses and electric buses. Before that, they held the position of Head of the Department at Novawind, where they facilitated technology transfer and established an assembly factory for wind energy in Russia. In 2012, Sergei was the Head of the Design Department at Felzer SIA and a Mechanical Design Engineer at ВНИИРА. Prior to that, they worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer at CRDI RTC, where they contributed to the development and documentation of systems for the soft landing of spaceships.

Sergei Churaev completed their Master's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation from Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University. Sergei studied at the university from 2004 to 2010. Following this, Churaev pursued a PhD at CRDI RTC from 2010 to 2013. The field of study for their doctoral degree is not provided.
