Ian Dee

Ian Dee has had a long and varied career in the geospatial industry. Ian began working for Telecom New Zealand as a Technical Analyst in 2010. After a year, they moved to Infoterra where they held the roles of Senior Digitising Technician, Business Development Manager, and Sensor Planning Coordinator. In 2011, they were hired as a Business Development Manager at Bluesky International Limited. In 2014, Ian Dee established their own consulting business, Ian Dee Consulting. After a year, they joined Energeo Ltd as Chief Executive Officer. In 2022, they began working for Geospatial Insight Limited as Climate Applications Lead, working with stakeholders to help them better understand and navigate pathways to decarbonisation through geospatial data and intelligence.

Ian Dee has a varied educational background. Ian obtained a Master's Degree in Geographic Information Systems from Sheffield Hallam University between 2013 and 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a City and Guilds from Avtech 2000 between 2011 and 2013. Ian also obtained an NVQ Level 3 in Customer Service from North Warwickshire College between 2004 and 2005. Theireducational experience began with William Bradford Community College between 1994 and 1996.
