Ville Kalijarvi

Ville Kalijarvi has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Ville currently works as the Business Development Manager (Europe, Africa & Russia) at Geoteric since June 2021. Prior to that, they were the Director of Business Development & Operations at E&P Data Licensing, where they led market research, developed commercial go-to-market strategies, and managed relationships with third parties. Ville started working at E&P Data Licensing in May 2019 and left in November 2020.

Before joining E&P Data Licensing, Ville worked as the Director of Business Development (EMEA & Russia) at C&C Reservoirs, the world leader in capturing oil and gas field and reservoir knowledge. Ville was responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies, managing third-party relationships, and closing new business within assigned key accounts. Ville worked at C&C Reservoirs from January 2017 to March 2019.

Ville has also worked at S&P Global (IHS Markit) as an Account Manager (Europe & Africa) from October 2014 to January 2017. Ville was responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies, managing partner relationships, and driving new business development for Engineering Software solutions.

Earlier in their career, Ville worked as a University Lecturer & Project Manager in Business Information Technology at Turku University of Applied Sciences from May 2002 to January 2013. Ville also worked as a Project Manager/Software Engineer at Digia Oy/Descom Oy from May 2000 to August 2002.

Through their various roles, Ville has gained extensive experience in business development, go-to-market strategies, market research, relationship management, and project/product development.

Ville Kalijarvi holds a Master of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University. Ville also has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in International Software Business from the University of Jyväskylä. In addition to their academic qualifications, Ville has obtained certifications in Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Survival Training (BOSIET) from OPITO/Petrofac, as well as an IPMA Project Management Associate certification from IPMA.
