James Harrow has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology industry. James started their career as a Scientific Officer at QinetiQ was DERA in 1995, where they worked until 1998. James then joined TTPCom in 1998 as a Digital Signal Processing - Implementation & Algorithms Engineer until 2000.

From 2000 to 2011, James worked at ip.access, starting as a Software Architect for Femtocell and 2G BTS products. James then took on various roles such as Solutions Director and Director of Consulting (Presence CTO), where they were involved in product management, pre-sales, R&D, system architecture, and data science. James also played a key role in shaping the technical strategy and direction for future product lines.

In 2014, James joined ip.access (Presence Business Unit) as the Director of Consulting (Presence CTO), and continued to perform multiple roles such as Product Management, Pre-sales, R&D Lead, System Architect, Agile Product Owner, and Data Scientist. James was responsible for staying hands-on and keeping up with various technologies and protocols. James stayed in this role until 2018.

In 2018, James joined geo (Green Energy Options) as the Head of Hybrid Technology, and later became the Chief Devices Officer. In this position, they led the development teams in delivering smart energy mass-market products and took care of the technology strategy for Home Energy Management Systems (HEMS). Their focus was on managing solar PV, battery storage, electric vehicles, and heat pumps in the near future to alleviate stress on local grids during peak times.

From 1992 to 1995, James Harrow studied Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London, where they earned their Bachelor's Degree.
