Stefan Kiener

Stefan Kiener is an experienced professional in geoinformatics, currently serving as Inhaber und Geschäftsführer at GeoWerkstatt since January 1998, where the company specializes in advising clients on the implementation and operation of GIS applications and geodata infrastructures. Previously, from 1998 to 1999, Stefan Kiener worked as a Kursleiter for GIS courses in Laos and Cambodia at the Centre for Development and Environment (CDE) at the University of Bern, contributing to the Watershed Classification Project. Stefan Kiener began their career as a GIS specialist at GIS Kanton Luzern from 1994 to 1997, focusing on the development of geodata and metadata infrastructures. Earlier experience includes a role as a Werkstudent GIS-Sachbearbeiter at Meteotest AG from 1989 to 1992, engaging in various GIS projects for the Federal Office of the Environment.
