Daniele La Porta has extensive work experience in various roles related to sustainability, ESG, and environmental consulting. Daniele is currently the Global Head of Sustainability and ESG at Gerald Group since March 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Global Head of ESG and Sustainability at the same company, starting from February 2022.

Before joining Gerald Group, Daniele worked at The World Bank for a significant period, starting in 2004. Daniele held the role of Senior Mining Specialist from August 2010 to March 2022, and prior to that, they worked as a Water Resources Specialist - Consultant from August 2004 to July 2010.

Additionally, Daniele has experience as a self-employed consultant, where they worked as a Water Resources/Environmental Consultant from February 2001 to January 2004. Daniele began their career as a Trainee/Geologist at Rio Tinto from an unspecified start date in 1993 until 1996.

Daniele La Porta obtained a BSc. in Geology from Universidade de Brasilia, graduating between 1994 and 2000. In 2009, they earned a Masters degree in Environment from Universidade Candido Mendes.
