Phil Gerard has a diverse work experience in the nonprofit sector. Phil's earlier roles include Community Relations Coordinator at the University of the Fraser Valley and Marketing Manager at Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Fraser Valley, where they managed development, public relations, and marketing activities.

Philippe (Phil) Gerard pursued higher education, beginning in 1996 and ending in 2007. From 1996 to 2002, they attended the University of the Fraser Valley, where they obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, Media and Communications. Following this, in 2006 and 2007, Phil attended the University of Phoenix, where they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, focusing on Human Resources Management.
