Katie Shirk

Katie Shirk has a diverse work experience in the fashion industry. Katie started their career as a Design Assistant at Gerber Childrenswear LLC in March 2014. Katie then worked as a Product Development Coordinator for New Balance Kids at the same company from May 2015 to January 2018. Following that, they took on the role of Product Development for New Balance Kids & NFL Kids Apparel from January 2018 to March 2019, where they collaborated with NFL designers, managed fabric and color approval, and oversaw sample execution for production. Katie also gained experience as a Product Design Assistant at Capelli New York from July 2013 to February 2014. Prior to that, they worked as a Stylist at Stella & Dot from September 2011 to July 2013, where they were recognized as a top seller and utilized visual merchandising and e-commerce skills to boost sales. Additionally, Katie had an internship as a Product Development/Design Intern at Alice & Olivia from December 2012 to April 2013, where they assisted in creating technical packages, utilized CAD for mock-ups, and took detailed pictures of market samples.

Katie Shirk attended Nassau Community College from 2008 to 2010, where they earned an AAS degree in Liberal Arts. Katie then went on to the Fashion Institute of Technology from 2010 to 2013 and obtained both an AAS degree and a BS degree. Their field of study at FIT was Fashion Merchandising and Management, with a specialization in Product Development.
