Dasun Senarathna

Dasun Senarathna has extensive work experience in the field of systems engineering and infrastructure automation.

Dasun'smost recent position was with Germain UX, where they served as a Senior Systems/Technical Engineer in Platform Automation & Deployment. In this role, Dasun was responsible for creating and maintaining infrastructure in both on-premises data centers and cloud environments, utilizing automation tools such as Puppet, Terraform, Ansible, and Pulumi. Dasun also handled Docker container orchestration, Kubernetes infrastructure management and automation, and various other tasks related to network and security management.

Prior to their role at Germain UX, Dasun worked at CMS (Pvt) Ltd. Here, they held several positions, including Senior Systems Engineer in Site Reliability Engineering/Infrastructure Automation. In this role, they played a key role in creating and maintaining infrastructure in both on-premises data centers and AWS cloud environments. Dasun also had experience in configuring and administering AWS multi-region cloud environments and automating continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) metrics with AWS CloudFormation. Additionally, Dasun worked as a Systems Engineer in Site Reliability Engineering and as a Senior Technical Support Engineer during their time at CMS.

Before CMS, Dasun worked as a System Engineer at Allion Technologies, where they gained expertise in agile methodologies and collaboration/tracking tools in a Linux environment. Dasun also handled various responsibilities related to managing Azure resources, data storage options, and deploying virtual machines and networks.

Dasun also has experience as an IT Executive at UNITED MOTORS LANKA PLC, where they focused on video conferencing network implementation and maintenance, Active Directory/Domain Controller configuration, and database management.

In their earlier career, Dasun worked as a Junior Systems Engineer at Rezgateway, where they gained experience in JBoss clustering, Nagios monitoring tool configuration, and Linux server access control security implementation. Dasun also had a role as a Network Engineer at Millennium Information Technologies, where they focused on network management.

During their time at SLIIT from 2008 to 2011, they focused on cloud platforms, information security, platform automation, CI/CD pipelines, and networking. Additionally, Dasun has acquired several certifications including the Puppet Certified Professional from Whizlabs in June 2021, the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from PSI Services LLC in February 2018, and the RED HAT CERTIFIED SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR from the DIRECTOR, GLOBAL CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS in February 2014.
