Germains Seed Technology
Youchun Li is a Senior Scientist at Germains Seed Technology since May 2019, with previous experience as an Associate Scientist at Front Range Biosciences and an Associate Plant Breeder at Anheuser-Busch Companies. Skilled in plant tissue culture, molecular biology, and plant breeding, Youchun has established a DNA Genotyping lab and developed standard operating procedures while mentoring staff. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Molecular Genetics and Evolution from the University of Haifa, a Master's degree in Agronomy and Crop Science, and a Bachelor's degree in Agronomy and Crop Science, both obtained from Sichuan Agricultural University. Earlier research experience includes work at Colorado State University and the University of Arizona, focusing on defense-related enzyme activities in wheat and functional genomics in maize, respectively, along with significant contributions to hybrid wheat breeding at the Sichuan Academy of Agricultural Science.
